| Bum Bum Bhole, Mangat bhi bole | | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | Aug 7
Amidst the chants of Bum Bum Bhole and a sea of humanity pouring over on roads every day when all Congress leaders have nearly blurred their identities to support what every Jammuite is saying, the last among them too has toed the line of others. Jammu’s grand old man of Congress, Pandit Mangat Ram Sharma had long been conspicuous by his absence from the public scene. Of course, he did not have any more outlets to inaugurate during these days of shut down. But he continued to maintain an eerie silence on the Shri Amarnath Shrine land issue for over a month till today when he admitted that the cabinet of which he was a part, did make some mistakes.

Despite government's appeal, BJP's core committee on Thursday decided to go ahead with a three-day agitation on the Amarnath land transfer issue beginning on August 11.
BJP leaders had already made it clear that they would settle for nothing less than re-allotment of land to the Amarnath Shrine Board.
Centre's frail attempt to broker peace over the Amarnath land-for-pilgrim issue had hit a stone with PDP and National Conference opposing BJP's demand for restoration of land and recall of governor N N Vohra.
Governor N N Vohra had appointed a four- member committee on Wednesday night to hold talks with Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti (SASS), spearheading the agitation in... | |

Jammu | Aug 7
Just three days short of a month after assuming the charge of state government, the Governor NN Vohra has finally taken Advisors to assist him in the administrative affairs.
