JAMMU, Apr 5: Jammu and Kashmir seems to be fast turning into a destination least favoured by direct recruits and non-state subject IAS officers.
In the latest instance, 1999 batch IAS officer and Secretary School Education Hridesh Kumar who is also acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (SBSE) is proceeding on training. Sources said that Hridesh who after return from inter-cadre deputation in January 2013 was posted as Secretary School Education in March 2013; had been making consistent efforts to return to New Delhi.
Since Central deputation was not possible, sources said that he managed to get out by requesting the Government to spare him for attending a training course. Hridesh is returning within 1 year of his return to the state cadre. 1986 batch IAS officer Lokesh Dutt Jha, who joined back recently preferred to be posted as Principal Resident Commissioner (PRC) in New Delhi over returning to the state.
