Jammu, Oct 27: Indicating that they won’t bow down or prostrate before separatists for holding talks, Dileep Padgaonkar, senior journalist who is leading three member team of interlocutors in J&K today said they are ready as and when the former make up their mind but won’t go calling at their doorsteps. In a subtle manner Padgaonkar slammed separatists for their ‘attitude’ saying he respects their views but they should also know ‘a citizen of India also has a lot of dignity.’
A day after their four day visit to Kashmir valley, Padgaonkar said this in Jammu today while responding to a query on separatists’ refusal to talk to interlocutors. “ We can’t force people to talk because they have their compulsions……if and when they want to talk to us we will be ready to talk to them….how and when they come to this decision I don’t know ……..”, the senior journalist said. Jammu, Oct 27: The team of interlocutors has not ruled out amendment of Indian constitution to incorporate Azadi option for Jammu Kashmir. This was stated by Daleep Padgoanker and his colleagues while interacting with the media persons in the summer capital today.
If the interlocutors were not joking then they are in for serious trouble. They have ventured into an area where angels fear to tread. Padgaonker’s statement may win him many a friend in Kashmir but back home, he can be held liable for sedition.

Violating ceasefire, second time in past three days, Pakistan today resorted to heavy mortar firing and small arms fire, targetting some forward Indian positions in Krishna Ghati (KG) sub-sector of Mendhar in Poonch.
Earlier, Pak had resorted to unprovoked fire Sunday last, resulting in the death of a jawan on a forward outpost in KG area. India had conveyed their anguish over the incident to Pakistan in a commander-level meeting held Monday at Nangi Tekri, Poonch.

SRINAGAR, Oct 27:The cabinet approved road map for settlement of the arrears of the Sixth Pay Commission in respect of the employees of the State Government.
