SRINAGAR, Apr 26: Much to the embarrassment of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and National Conference (NC)-Congress alliance candidate Dr Farooq Abdullah, the Union Health Minister has refused to campaign in central Kashmir. He has also hinted at going to Assembly polls alone.
People close to Azad informed Early Times that despite repeated attempts from NC leadership in general and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in particular, Azad has categorically refused to campaign for NC-Congress alliance candidates Dr Farooq Abdullah and Sharif-ud-din Shariq in their central and North Kashmir Parliamentary constituencies. Sources said that keeping in view the sanctity of relationship Ghulam Nabi Azad has with the families of Tariq Hameed Karra and Muzaffar Hussain Beigh of People's Democratic Party (PDP) he denied campaigning against them in their constituencies for Dr Farooq Abdullah and Sharif-ud-din Shariq of NC.

SRINAGAR, Apr 26: High court has imposed Rs. 20,000 costs on Director School Education Kashmir to be paid to a teacher, Mehraj-ud-Din Ashai.
