Gurgaon: Coming out strongly against terrorism on the second day of her visit, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton noted on Sunday that Pakistan houses a "syndicate of terrorism", and that the US was watching the actions being taken by Islamabad against the scourge and expected that perpetrators of Mumbai attacks meet their "day of reckoning".
She emphasised that terrorism is a threat to all, including those who have given haven to such elements, and every country should stand up to defeat the menace.
"We are certainly watching and expecting that there will be justice and those who launched the horrific attacks in Mumbai will meet their day of reckoning," she said at an interaction with press here.
Clinton, who will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and hold talks with External Affairs Minister S M Krishna tomorrow, said she realises that the "syndicate" of terrorism in Pakistan is "troubling" India, besides the US.

Srinagar, Jul 19: Reiterating the state government's resolve to replace the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Kashmir Valley in phases, an official spokesman said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has already taken up the matter of withdrawal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) with the Centre.
Highlighting the achievements made during the first six-month rule of the coalition government, he said Mr Abdullah favoured the withdrawal of the AFSPA.
Perhaps, this is for the first time that a Chief Minister in office eloquently talked of withdrawal of AFSPA in the state, he said.

Jammu, July 19: At least two women of a family were drowned in river Chenab near Baba Sunder Singh Gurdwara at Akhnoor, where the duo had gone to pay obeisance, Sunday afternoon.
Reports reaching here revealed that one of the woman slipped into Chenab, while another attempted to save her life. However, both of them were washed away by the fast current of the river.
