SRINAGAR, Dec 21: While rampant corruption, favouritism and nepotism which was developed in the Kashmir University in former Vice Chancellor Prof Riyaz Punjabi's tenure has taken deep roots, to divert attention from real issues, vested interests in the varsity are sending hundreds of anonymous complaints to the office of Governor and Chief Minister.
Sources told Early Times that in the last few years the trend of sending anonymous complaints picked up in the university. "Most of the people who are themselves involved in corruption and other wrongdoings send anonymous complaints against each other to divert the attention of the authorities from the real issues," they said .

JAMMU, Dec 21: In a much sought for decision, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) today directed the contractors to display the rate of the parking approved by JDA in parking areas. The JDA's direction came soon after the CM's grievance redressal cell took cognizance of the matter.

JAMMU, Dec 21: According to reply to queries under Right to Information (RTI) by Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department only 25 Commissions of Inquiries (CoI) were constituted in Jammu and Kashmir since 1980, to fix responsibilities into various acts but reply on actions taken were ducked.

The Directorate of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) had released Rs 2 crore to GMC Principal for improving child health care in SMGS in first week of October but they remain undisbursed.
