Jammu, Dec 28: A month after the Channi Himmat shoot out, mystery continues to shroud the incident. The police have failed to effect the arrest of Haseeb Tramboo and his father's Personal Security Officer Riyaz Ahmed.
The inaction of the police has raised many a question. Has police succumbed to political pressure as Kashmir based business tycoon has good connections with those who run the show in the State. It is further alleged that police gave room to the accused Haseeb Tramboo to flee to America.
A police officer on anonymity said that, police have registered a case but due to delay in getting the ballistic report, police have been unable to solve the mystery. Sources said that police have suspicion that shoot out at Tramboo's residence was a well planned drama to frame some of the rivals of Tramboo. Jammu, Dec 28: Power Development Department (PDD) owes a whooping Rs. 322.59 crore to National Hydrochloric Project Corporation (NHPC). srinagar, Dec 28: Two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed while nine civilians and three security personnels including an Army officer were injured in a fierce encounter that took place between militants and security forces in Chandgam-Babagam area of district Pulwama here today. srinagar, Dec 28: The government teachers of Kashmir region have questioned the action against some of their colleagues for not producing better results in the matriculation examination held in October. The results were out last week and once again the government schools failed to impress the authorities.
There are 11633 government schools in Kashmir province. After education was made a fundamental right, the government approved a sum of Rs 778 crore for improving education infrastructure. But the government report found that 4830 schools in the state still do not have their own building. Most of them run in shabby rented rooms.
