JAMMU, Apr 27: Politics makes strange bed-fellows! In this polarised poll season, National Conference seems to have found a friend in Hurriyat and that too, none other than the hardliner and pro-Pakistan Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

By sharing this statement of hardliner and Pro-Pakistan Syed Ali Shah Geelani on facebook, NC has confirmed that it is neither Farooq Abdullah nor their Chief Minister Omar Abdullah whom the Kashmir trusts but only Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

Syed Basheer Veeri, the innovative and hyperactive MLC of National Conference from Bijbehara was the first to update on his social networking page the statement of Syed Ali Shah Geelani. His status was shared by young and upcoming NC leader from Banihal Sajjad Shaheen.

That year also, NC contested election in Kashmir in alliance with Congress. But 2014 is not 2009. Much water has flown down the river Vitasta (Jhelum) after 2009. Its arch-political foe PDP is on a very stro... | |
