HM demands trustee money back, urges surrendered militants to join back
Asif Iqbal Naik5/19/2012 9:52:31 PM
Kishtwar, May 18: In an embarrassing development for the security forces the banned militant group Hizbul Mujahideen has managed to paste its poster on the walls of Jamia Masjid Kishtwar situated barely 300 meters away from the police station and the local SDPO office. The poster issued by the divisional commander, Mohammad Amin Butt Jahingir Saroori has warned the people against helping the Indian agencies in their cause. The poster also urged the surrendered militants to join back militancy to fight the cause of self-determination for Jammu and Kashmir. Written in Urdu language, the poster's language is a mix of religious sentiments while addressing some unidentified persons asking them to give back the money which the organization (HM) gave to them on profit sharing bases. HM commander while threatening action against those who swindle the outfit's money urges them to prove that they are the followers of the righteous path. "As we already mentioned about the situation through which we people are passing these days, we urge the people to stop helping Indian agencies and inst...

National Security
RUSTAM5/19/2012 11:59:44 AM
JAMMU, May 18: The Indian Army is opposing the move of the Congress-led UPA Government to further placate the aggressor Pakistan by conceding its demand seeking demilitarisation of the strategic Siachen Glacier region, which is legitimately Indian. The Indian Army consolidated its hold over the glacier in 1984 after evicting the Pakistani intruders and the present Armu chief General V K Singh has made it loud and clear that he would not endorse the controversial move. Why is the Indian Army opposing demilitarisation of the Siachen Glacier region? According to one report in one of the leading journals of the country, the Army is opposing the move for at least four reasons. One: "Indian Arm...

Till when shall J&K's children be deprived of Right to Education?
Abodh Sharma5/19/2012 11:55:21 AM
Jammu, May 18: While Right to Education has become a fundamental right for every child aged between 6-14 years in our country following the historic legislation, the state of Jammu and Kashmir shall have to wait at least till the next session of its State Legislature to legitimately extend this Right to its children-This despite the fact that the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who has been reiterating education as his priority area is himself heading the department of school education after the Minister incharge Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed was divested of his portfolio. Nearly 92 lakh children, who have either dropped out from schools or have never been to any educational institution, will ge...

Why NC 'avoiding' to stick on coalition Dharma…..?
EARLY TIMES REPORT5/19/2012 11:53:41 AM
Jammu, May 18: Is NC adhering to coalition Dharma? Answer is an obvious No, as its leadership/cadre has started propagating against Congress ministers who are facing allegations of corruption/favouritism. The latest victim in Congress camp is Manohar Lal Sharma against whom State Accountability Commission (SAC) has recently issued a notice to respond to the allegations of bungling in Cooperative Society department. Furthermore, its not just Manohar Lal Sharma but NC cadre has initiated a veiled attack against all Congress leaders who were earlier Ministers in Omar led state cabinet but had to resign following allegations of corruption/favouritism against them. Opposition to Indian laws, not to Indian rupees
Kalhan's Rajtarangini
EARLY TIMES REPORT5/19/2012 11:52:24 AM
JAMMU, May 18: Give us more money because we are starving because of paucity of funds. Give us more money because we want to develop our "alienated" land. Give us more money because we want to open more schools, colleges, universities and technical and professional institutions in our land to meet the educational needs of our people. Give us more money because we are the second most corrupt state in the country and we don't know where has the Indian money gone? Give us more money because we want to develop (further the already rather developed) tourism industry in our land. Give us more money because our land is under-developed and extremely backward. Give us more money because we want to f...
