bashir assad Srinagar, June 28: Sajada Nasheen (custodian of the Peer Dastegeer Sahib shrine) Syed Khalid Geelani on Thursday hinted at raising donations from the people for reconstruction of the shrine which gutted in a devastating fire on Monday last if Waqaf Board falls short of money while reconstructing the shrine strictly as per the digitized design that is already with INTACH. Talking exclusively to Early Times at his residence just behind the gutted shrine, Khalid Geelani ruled out short-circuit as cause of the fire. When asked to comment on Grand Mufti Bashiruddin's statement that there was a worst conspiracy in gutting the shrine, Khalid avoided any direct reply and said. "he has put his view point and he has right to express himself". In his latest Omar had tweeted: " I''m sorry but will some one please ask him how my government stands to benefit from destroying the shrine??????." Omar had made this tweet after a statement by the grand mufti of Srinagar alleging that fire at shrine is a conspiracy against sufisim in Kashmir. Early Times Report JAMMU, June 28: For a population of more than one crore, Jammu Kashmir has only 5,800 doctors and just 11,840 beds in all the Hospitals across the state. As per the government data there are 3,400 health institutions in the state are quite insufficient for increased number of patients. It is not only the shortage of infrastructure but most of the hospitals are without sufficient number of nurses and para-medical staff. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) norms, there should be one nurse per seven beds, but in most of the hospitals one nurse has to attend the entire ward, which has adversely affected the patient care.
