After vitiating atmosphere, Hurriyat leaders want Delhi to engage with Pak
Feeling the heat
10/10/2014 11:24:38 PM
Neha JAMMU, Oct 10: The manner in which the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre has been responding to the Pakistani misadventures and taking on the Pakistani terrorists, including Army, Rangers and Lashkar operatives both across the International Border and Line of Control has further rattled the already discredited Hurriyat leaders like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik. Convinced that they are being considered irrelevant in Kashmir by the powers-that-be in New Delhi and that they have lost whatever appeal they had after the September floods, they are trying their level best to come to the limelight by singing the Pakistani tune overlooking the fact that the Man...

Rules for fools
10/10/2014 11:24:21 PM

The private practice is officially banned at GMCH for HoDs, since January 17, 2013 who are being paid NPA monthly. 10/10/2014 11:24:04 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 10: A day after Prime Minister Narender Modi warned Pakistan of unaffordable costs for its 'misadventurism', firing de-escalated along the 192-km International Border (IB) in Jammu frontier overnight. While all the 63 BSF border outposts (BoPs) and 130 hamlets were targeted by the Pak Rangers on Wednesday night, only four BoPs came under their unprovoked fire on Thursday night. Taking a serious note of the unprovoked Pak shelling and gunfire, India toughened its stand and told the neighbouring country that there would be no peace talks with it till it stopped firing. "After nine days of heavy firing and mortar shelling from across the border, firing de-esca...

Contradicting his previous order, GMC acting Principal all set to adjust blue eyed
10/10/2014 11:23:52 PM
Arun Singh JAMMU, Oct 10: It is surprising to find that GMC acting principal Ghanshyam Dev, in contradiction of his previous order, is alleged to be all set to adjust his own men in Medical Faculty Club (MFC). Early Times had carried a news item in this regard in its October 1 issue under the caption "Nomination of new members raises brows, hierarchy brushed aside, MFC of GMC turns personal fiefdom of blue eyed doctors". In it, it was reported how Dr Ganshyam had unconstitutionally nominated new MFC members bypassing hierarchy just only to adjust Dr Tariq Azad in clear violation of rules. Sources told said in the recent PMC order Number GMC/order/341 dated 04-10-2014 which is beyond the ...

Fighting out secessionism in Kashmir
10/10/2014 10:56:46 PM
Rustam JAMMU, Oct 10 : Kashmir is standing on India's nerves since October 1947, when the state acceded to India in terms of the constitutional law on the subject. This, despite the fact that it is the most pampered region in the entire country. Since 1947, the Kashmiri leadership has revolted against New Delhi innumerable times with a view to further driving Kashmir away from the country's mainstream politics and establish there a Pakistan-type dispensation. It has always criticized the Indian laws and Indian institutions, saying the extension of these laws and institutions has eroded the so-called Kashmir's distinct identity and caused alienation. Before 1947 and after March 1846, when...

GoI likely to entrust rehabilitation package to reputed institutions
10/10/2014 10:46:31 PM
Bashir Assad Srinagar, Oct 10: Owing to trust deficit between the political dispensation of the flood ravaged Jammu and Kashmir and the central government, the latter has finally decided to bring in reputed financial institutions for direct investment to rebuild the infrastructure. Early Times had earlier reported that the Modi led central government was not ready to handover special rehabilitation package to the state government because of the perception that the political leadership of the state will siphoned off the money meant for rebuilding the infrastructure that has been extensively damaged by the devastating floods that hit the state last month.
