Omar asks BJP not to hoist 'individual' flag in Srinagar | Says it will incite violence in Kashmir again | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 5: In a fresh Omar Abdullah vs BJP row, the Chief Minister of J&K today accused the party of trying to instigate trouble and set Kashmir on fire at a time when peace had returned there after recent turmoil. Lashing out at BJP, Omar asked the leadership to shun its plan of flag hoisting or else face the 'repercussions' for which, he cautioned, the party alone would be responsible.
After his return from London trip, the Chief Minister while addressing the media termed BJP's proposed plan of tricolour hoisting at Lal Chowk on January 26 as provocative and uncalled for move which he 'anticipated' would foment trouble and incite violence again. JAMMU, Jan 5: Pakistan has raised multi-storey bunkers on their side of the International Border (IB), causing serious security concerns in India.
Official sources said these bunkers had been raised close to the IB and overlooked forward BSF outposts in some areas.
Pakistan had violated the set norms as no structure was permitted within 500 metres of the border, the sources added. Sources said the raising of these bunkers added to the difficulties of BSF manning IB.
The IB has already witnessed two to three infiltration attempts in the past few days. On two occasions, the Pak Rangers provided cover fire to militants to sneak into this side of the border.
