Early Times Report Jammu | Nov 7 After ten-day recess, when Governor NN Vohra takes his chair at Civil Secretariat on reopening of Darbar in Jammu on Monday, the first thorny demand is come to from the people who cooperated with him during the times when politicians ran away. Government officers and employees lent a huge cooperation to the Governor since he took over the responsibilities of the state government when Jammu and Kashmir was burning under Amarnath land row. Now they want the appropriate reward from him before Vohra hands over charge to elected government two months later. The demand is implementation of the recommendations of Sixth Pay Commission and hike of retirement age from 58 to 60 years. This is something employees appear adamant about and the Governor has the obvious difficulties in view of prevailing Model Code of Conduct which ties hands of the government during elections. Early Times Report Jammu | Nov 7 To ensure transparent elections in the two constituencies of frontier region of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, the computerised randomisation system for allotment of polling stations to political parties has been introduced for the first time, an official spokesman said. Early Times Report Srinagar | Nov 7 Life in Kashmir valley remained paralysed for the second successive day today in the wake of the curfew-like restrictions imposed by the authorities to prevent people from gathering at the historic Jamia Masjid here for Friday prayers. New Delhi | Nov 7 Expressing serious concern over the alleged involvement of a serving Army officer in the Malegaon blast, the Centre on Friday said necessary action will taken against him by the defence ministry on the basis of the Maharashtra police's investigation report in the case. SUMIT SHARMA Jammu | Nov 7 After having failed to push militants to this side of the border for subversive activities, the Pakistani authorities have adopted a different tactics to allow militants to enter Jammu and Kashmir.
