JAMMU, Dec 10: Scandalously operating Kashir Channel of Doordarshan has finally made it public that the ruling National Conference MLA from Iddgah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's Advisor, Mubarak Gul, as well as his son and NC's Councilor in Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Younis Gul, had suppressed vital information with regard to their relation, political credentials and being public representatives while seeking contracts worth Rs 48 Lakh from the Government of India subsidiary in 2007-09 period.
In March this year, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's Advisor, Mubarak Gul, was visibly high spirited. Jammu, Dec 10: Panun Kashmir views the selective stoppage of government advertisements to the daily newspaper Early Times by the State government with concern and deep sense of outrage. The means adopted by the state government border on frank intimidation perhaps to force the newspaper to change its editorial line in accordance with the wishes of the government, it said.

Jammu, Dec 10: The court of divisional consumer forum has issued arrest warrants against JDA's vice-chairman and secretary for the non-compliance of its orders. The forum has invoked section 21 of the Consumer Protection Act against them.
The court directive came in a complaint filed by Ashok Kumar in which he said he had not been given possession of a piece of land which was allotted to him by JDA at Paloura (phase IV) few years back.
On April 16, 2007, the forum had directed JDA to give Ashok the possession of land within five weeks failing which the development authority would pay Rs 500 per day as compensation to the complainant.
