JAMMU, Dec 26: Amid a messy political scenario and political uncertainty ailing the ruling NC-Congress coalition, the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah after enjoying a brief sojourn in UK is arriving back to J&K tomorrow. Chief Minister will resume the work albeit on a note when the alliance partner Congress has started asserting on key matters and crucial issues, setting right and putting things back on rails as its top priority .
Sources said even as the NC second line leadership in absence of Chief Minister during the past few days has been trying to fill in the vacuum which has been fuelled further by the speculations of change of guard floating with much spice in the air, the ruling party has been feeling quite uncomfortable and disturbed particularly by the voices getting louder by the day over rotational Chief Minister issue.

SRINAGAR, Dec 26: The mercury continued to touch new lows in Jammu and Kashmir Monday, with Srinagar recording a bone-chilling minus 4.9 degrees Celsius and Leh town reeling under a severe minus 18.2 degrees.
"Srinagar and Leh experienced the lowest temperatures of the season. Due to polar winds blowing into the Kashmir Valley, the minimum temperatures have been falling," Sonam Lotus, director of the local meteorological office, told IANS here.
The minimum was minus 8.4 in north Kashmir's ski resort of Gulmarg and minus 7.4 in south Kashmir's Pahalgam hill station.

JAMMU, Dec 26: Senior Congress leader and MLC Yashpal Khajuria tonight died of a massive heart attack at army command hospital in Udhampur.
He was 63. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
His death was widely condoled by PCC leaders, politicians of other political parties, prominent personalities, academicians, people of Udhampur and other areas of the state.
