| J&K hides CAG report, likely to be tabled on last day | | Guv left waiting! | | | Syed Junaid Hashmi
JAMMU, Mar 2: Despite Governor N.N.Vohra's public disclosure of having ordered laying of report in the two houses of legislature, state government is unmoved and likely to table the report on the last day of this ongoing budget session.
General Administration Department (GAD) has neither intimated the law department nor the two houses of the state legislature about when it would be tabling the audit report. In the business issued by the two houses for March 2, 2013; there is no mention of the CAG report. Though the government can bring report to two houses through supplementary business but insiders maintain that it is highly unlikely.
If the sources are to be believed, the report is likely to be tabled on the last day of the budget session in both houses of the legislature.i.e March 4. This has come as shock to Raj Bhawan which had given its approval for tabling the report on February 24 i.e. 6 days ago and made the same public. If sources are to be believed, Raj Bhawan issued handout about its communication to state government vis-à-vis tabling of the rep... | |
