NEW DELHI, Mar 8: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad has turned out to be one of the main trouble shooters from Congress' side as the party's plan to get the Women's reservation bill through the Rajya Sabha received a rude jolt here today.
Soon after the Government fumbled and could not get the nod of the members in the Upper House for the Women's Bill to coincide and, thus, mark the 100th International Women's Day being observed the world over today, Azad was called by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for consultations.

JAMMU, Mar 8: Terming a new "winter strategy" as the success mantra of police, IGP, Jammu zone, Dr Ashok Gupta today said it paid well in terms of countering infiltration and terrorism.
"The new strategy reaped in good dividends which is evident from the fact that 20 per cent of the militants active in the state are without guns," he told a press conference.

New delhi, Mar 8: Observing that prisoners from Pakistan who had out-served their sentence in Jammu and Kashmir should be deported, the Supreme Court on Monday asked the Government of India to pass appropriate orders under the Foreigners Act in respect of 22 in two months.

Police sources said while making searches in Min Nullah area of Gandoh forests, security forces came across a militant hideout.
