JAMMU, May 7: Beyond their known lackadaisical and cold approach to the public grievances, the Police and its various arms have connived with the encroachers and aggressors rather than helping the victims in discharging their duties on the principle of natural justice.
In a glaring incident, after lapse of over a week, after a written complaint regarding life threat was filed by the victim before SP Rural, police have failed to perform its job.
According to copy of complaint filed by one Ravinder Kumar Shan in the office of Superintendent of Police, Rural Jammu, who is knocking doors of Police and Revenue department for years to demarcate his grabbed land, he received life threat on phone by one Satish Kumar, a Crime Branch Official on April 30.
"On April 30, Satish Kumar called on Ravinder's cell phone and threatened him of dire consequences", the copy of compliant read, adding that the victim in his application had mentioned complete bio data of said official.

A polling officer stationed at Government Higher Secondary School Haigam Sopore confirmed to a local news agency that neither Muzafar Parrey nor anyone from his family turned up for polling.
