JAMMU, Jan 1: By repeatedly cautioning PDP against allying with BJP and offering support to bitter political rival to stay in power, both National Conference and Congress are sabotaging the mandate that people of Jammu have given to BJP in the Assembly elections, vindicating the allegations that both these partners in previous government have considered Jammu as a mere push over.
The greed and lust of both these parties is becoming too obvious. While Congress, which has shrunk to insignificance at the national level desperately wants to keep BJP out of power in J&K where it has emerged as a powerful stakeholder for the first time; NC, which was apprehending a complete rout, was buoyed by 15 seats it got and is now eyeing to stay in power by extending unconditional support to its bitter political rival PDP. JAMMU, Jan 1: Six years after the infamous recruitment scam brought defame to Khakhi, it has returned to hit the headlines as a huge protest demonstration was held against Police by the aggrieved persons .
The recruitment scam surfaced in district Udhampur when a PSO of the former IGP allegedly took Rs 88 lakh from 42 persons on behest of the officer, then DIG IRP to select them in the recruitment process which took place during the year 2009 after the formation of the newly carved four districts-Samba, Reasi,Ramban and Kaishtwar.

JAMMU, Jan 1: Apart from private institutions the government institutions are also found flouting the labour laws with impunity in terms of duty hours and in one such case Jammu and Kashmir State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JKSERC) had wanted to engage security guards with 12 hour duty, instead of eight hours as permissible under laws of land.
According to the tender notice number JKSERC/02 of 2014, Secretary of Commission has invited tenders from registered security agencies, engaged in providing of skilled/ unskilled manpower for services of security guard in the J&KSERC at Ambedkar Chowk Jammu from Ist February 2015 to 2016.
