Jammu, Jan 6: The favoritism is at its peak in the University of Jammu (JU) as Vice Chancellor Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, who is yet to celebrate his first anniversary in the office, has been kind enough to blue-eyed besides going for selective victimization of others. Recently, the Vice Chancellor okayed the "Single Candidate Interview" of the wife of a senior most Professor and sister-in-law of the Registrar.
As per the practice, the University had to re-advertise the post of Professor in Botany Department for which the sister-in-law of Registrar had applied, as she was lone candidate. But, setting aside the past practice, Prof Ishar decided to go for single candidate interview hence paving the way for her unopposed selection.
Sources disclosed that Prof Ishar had also been generous enough to his Special Secretary Jai Kumar Sharma. He was Joint Registrar (Finance) when Prof Ishar assumed the charge of Vice Chancellor. Since Sharma
