| Khursheed Ganai's appointment as FC Revenue withdrawn | | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 3: Omar Abdullah's government has silently and secretly withdrawn the senior IAS officer Khursheed Ganai's appointment as Financial Commissioner Revenue within days of its sanction by the Cabinet.
Days after his repatriation from the Central deputation, which was reportedly cut short at Ganai's instance through Chief Secretary Iqbal Khanday even without a formal requisition from the State government, the Cabinet on February 1st had elevated the 1982- batch IAS officer to the fixed pay scale of Rs 80,000 per month and appointed him as FC Revenue in place of the 1979-batch IAS officer Arun Kumar. Kumar was appointed as Director General of IMPA, relieving Bharat Bhushan Vyas of an additional charge.
Informed sources revealed to Early Times that Ganai's appointment was immediately withdrawn and he was placed in a queue of the officials 'awaiting orders of adjustment in GAD'. JAMMU, Feb 3: Notwithstanding the claims of CAPD Minister, Chou-dhary Mohammed Ramzan and Director CAPD, Chib that the ration has not been stopped to the bonafide and genuine ration card holders under APL and BPL categories, thousands of such ration card holders have been denied ration by depot holders since January this year.
According to sources, the CAPD depot holders are denying ration to thousands of APL and BPL card holders in the State on the pretext that the Department has reduced their quota of supply. This decision of the CAPD has also put a question mark on the passage of bill security food promising free ration to the people in the country.

He was one of the 160 DySPs who were transferred recently. Srinagar, Feb 3: Jammu and Kashmir High Court today asked Crime Branch of Police to take its investigation into Common Entrance Scam of 2012 to logical conclusion as soon as possible.
"You (Crime Branch) should lay bare every thread of this fraud," said a Division Bench of the court comprising Justice Hasnain Massodi and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey while hearing a suo-moto Public Interest Litigation.
