Why SSS asked SOG men not to come closer to Chief Minister?

Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 1 Protecting life of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is becoming very touchy affair in the state. On Tuesday two elite groups of security-- Special security group (SSG)and special opeartions group(SOG) displayed just that at the venue of the inuagural function of the Jammu festival. SSG men entrusted with the job of protecting Chief Minister asked SOG team at the Fish aquarium lawns in no uncleasr terms to swiftly move out of the venue along with their weapons. The strict dictate was communicated to the head of the SOG team deployed at the venue minutes before the arrival of the Chief Minister. The manner in which the directions were communicated by SSG infuriated SOG men present at the venue. SOG men had no choice but to leave the venue. Later SOG men were deployed in and around the venue without weapons on the instructions of the SSG.Highly placed sources in SSG confirmed that the SOG men were asked to vacate the venue of the Jammu festival as it was the responsibility of the SSG men to protect Chief Minister. A strong lobby of senior IPS officers has already expressed their unhappiness with the recommendations of the pay commission. HC sets aside conviction order against rape accused

Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 1 Allowing a criminal appeal, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu wing today set aside conviction by a rape accused convicted and sentenced by the trail court.While setting aside the conviction order passed by the Ist Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, Justice JP Singh observed that the prosecution has failed to lead convincing evidence to prove the offence against the accused. The observations were made in a criminal appeal filed by one Balkar Singh, who was convicted by the Ist Additional Sessions Judge Jammu and sentenced to seven years imprisonment and fine of Rs. 10, 000/- under Section 376 RPC – for committing rape - and to one year's imprisonment...

Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 1 The review committee of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has given a clean hit to former Director Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar Shahzadi Simon who was earlier attached by Prasar Bharti for committing irregularities while awarding programmes to non professionals. Official sources said that Shahzadi Simon, who is retiring ending this month, is expected to join the office and take over the charge as Director Srinagar Doordarsan on Wednesday. Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 1 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mr. Puneet Gupta today awarded 15 years sentence to accused Mohd Ajmal Chouhan code name Afria Sherkhan s/o Abdul Rehman r/o Atwaal, Tehsil Shakergarh, District Narwal, Pakistan who was arrested by the Samba Police in the year 1999, while he was crossed the Indian Territory without valid documents.
