Early Times Report Jammu, June 30 : Twenty five year old Amit Sharma from Jammu who returned from holy Amarnath Yatra today feels distraught to recollect what he calls as some nightmarish moments he encountered while trekking from arduous Baltal route.' Dangerous and culpable to disastrous consequences' were the expressions he used to describe the status of this route which is totally devoid of even basic facilities of light and toilets, not to speak of measures safety measures like tents or shelter sheds, an utmost necessity in the event of inclement weather. This he said is in contrast to what government claims before commencement of Yatra. "The first thing I prayed before Bholey Baba while having darshan was that I won't ever be able to come for this holy pilgrimage….at least from Baltal route , no matter it takes less time but it is not worth the risk pilgrims face with lack of all facilities en route…….the pilgrims truly so reach the cave only by grace of Lord Shiva's blessings ( Bholey Baba Teri Bhakto Par Hamesha Kripa Bani Rahe …..Lekin Mujh...

Early Times Report JAMMU, June 30 : Though the authorities had decided to debar all un registered pilgrims to holy cave of Baba Amarnath and stop them ahead of Jawahar tunnel, to avoid the rush of pilgrims on two tracks of holy cave thousands of yatris still manage to reach both Pahalgam and Baltal base camps from here on the second day of yatra today. While over 30,000 pilgrims had left for darshan from two tracks early in the morning yesterday out of which 19,000 pilgrims had alone left from Baltal to holy cave, the same rush has been witnessed today also on both the tracks. Yesterday's shake-up came parallel to the populist creation of 22 fresh degree colleges even as the educational institutes created by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's and Ghulam Nabi Azad's governments are still deficient in terms of faculty as well as infrastructure. Blind murder solved, accused held from Punjab

EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 30 : Police have solved the blind murder of a man whose body was recovered from an unfrequented piece of land at Preet Nagar, Digiana, here on June 20 last. Bihari Lal's body was badly decomposed when it was recovered by police. He had a deep head injury. The hammer, used in the killing, was also recovered by police. During investigation, it became known to police that he was last seen with his neighbour Noushad Khan, a mason by profession. Newly married woman among 2 killed in road mishaps

EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JUNE 30 : A 19-year-old newly married woman and an unidentified man were killed in separate road accidents here since last night. The motorcycle of SPO Darshan Lal of Barian, Samba, today got trapped in a broken patch of Mansar road at Mananu as a result of which it fell in the middle of the road. Darshan's wife Ranjana (19), who was sitting on the pillion seat along along two children of his elder brother, sustained a critical head injury. She was shifted to Samba district hospital from where she was referred to the GMC hospital but she died on the way. EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, JUNE 30 : Police today seized three kilogram explosive material from the compound of J&K Tourism Development Corporation's hotel Heemaal at the tourist hub of Boulevard near Dalgate. SSP Srinagar, Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, told Early Times that someone had managed to carry the explosive material in a polythene bag and dropped it on the compound of Hotel Heemaal. However, Police rushed to the spot with bomb disposal squad immediately after receiving the tip off and seized the unfabricated explosive device. EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, JUNE 30 : Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants struck the remote Nagnigard Keshwan police post here in the wee hours of Thursday morning, critically wounding a special police officer (SPO). LeT district commander Habib Gujjar alias Salman and his deputy Khurshid Ahmad threw a grenade towards the police post at 1.30 am when some cops were about to leave for routine night patrolling. In the explosion, SPO Mushtaq Ahmad sustained serious splinter injuries. The blast was followed by heavy firing by the militants, according to police sources. EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU : The personal security officer of union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad's brother was today beaten up by some unknown youth at Belicharana near Satwari here. Cop Shamas Din, PSO of Ghulam Mustafa -- a contractor and Azad's brother -- was given a severe beating by some youth at Belicharana where he had gone in connection with some work, police sources said. The assailants later fled the spot. Shamas was admitted to the GMC hospital. Originally a resident of Kupwara, he was at present putting up at Gujjar Basti here.
