| | By humiliating General Singh Cong demoralising the Army | Is Delhi Pursuing Omar Line? | | Rustam
JAMMU, Jan 7: J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah perhaps was the first constitutional authority in the country who openly challenged the Army and put forth demands calculated to make the Army dysfunctional and create a situation under which those defending the borders and maintaining territorial integrity of India after fighting splendidly and making supreme sacrifices would face trails for eliminating and neutralising the enemies of the country. What Omar said and did between October 21 and November 10, 2011 and even thereafter to lower the morale of the Army is too well-known. In fact, his irresponsible, rather provocative, November 9-10, 2011 statement on the Army and the AFSPA wou...

The Hizbul Muahideen Chief, Muhammad Yusuf alias Syed Salah-ud-Din was a candidate from Amira Kadal...

As a matter of fact, the decision has left the Congress rank and file dejected, disappointed, baffled and totally demoralised, with most of the local Congress leaders and workers admitting in private that the Congress high command has "dug the Congress grave, especially in ...
| | What kept Omar Abdullah’s crown intact? | | |
Syed Junaid Hashmi
JAMMU, Jan 6: More than Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s purported closeness with Congress high command, UPA’s fluctuating fortunes in the centre and divided state Congress prevented ball from swinging other way around.
Early Times has credible evidence at hand which confirms that more than JKPCC President’s group; it was ex-Chief Minister’s and presently, Union minister’s coterie of leaders who obliquely ensured continuance of Omar Abdullah regime for next three years. JKPCC president and his group followed directions of Congress high command religiously including the decision to allow Omar to complete six year term.
