Medico allegedly involved in stone pelting, appointed as DirSKIMS Soura: Faculty | | | Sumit Sharma
Jammu, Mar 14: Alleging misuse of power and authority, the faculty atSher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), stated that the selectingcommittee has misled the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who happens to be thechairman of governing body faculty of the same institute who appointed of theDoctor Showkat Ali Zargar as director SKIMS, as director of institute allegedlyinvolved in stone pelting and demanded probe.
Faculty alleged that Dr Showkat who was appointed asDirector SKIMS on 3 June 2011, besides having credit of bad track, even was involvedin the stone pelting. His involvement of stone pelting was surfaced when as pernotice No SO/SS/Index/11/71 dated 01/04/2011 CID special Branch of governmentof Jammu and Kashmirwrote to Joint Director Exims Soura to provide the full particulars includingname, residence, parentage, design, DOB of Dr Showkat Zargar, HoD Gastro SKIMS.

Jammu, Mar 14: A major reshuffle in the state police force is in the offing before the Darbar move to Srinagar, informed sources have told Early Times.
The state government is planning a major reshuffle in the state police department at the levels of the DGP, ADGs and IGPs.
The present DGP, Kuldeep Khoda is retiring at the end of May this year. A hunt has already started for the new chief of the Jammu and Kashmir State police.

rajouri, Mar 14: While police today took into custody 17 activists of Sanathan Dharam Sabha (SDS) and BJP, including an ex-municipal president, for violating section 144 imposed, minority community observed a complete bandh in the town and held protests at several places.
