According to sources in the JMC, most of these constructions came up during the tenure of Sawhney. They said that Sawhney would abide by the dictates and demands forwarded to his office by Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand's office. Sources further said that Sawhney would not only allow constructions but forbid Khilafwarzi officers from taking action against the encroachers.
They added that JMC officials made repeated pleas with Sawhney to allow them to launch a serious and impact creating action against the violators but he did not allow them to even move an inch. K Koushal
Jammu, May 4: Baffled over the revelations made by 'Early Times' in its report titled "Prof Archana Kesar guide three PhD scholars in 30 years of career", the unpopular professor tried to control-the-damage by giving explanation to the newspaper via her personal mail, wherein she listed her accomplishments and also challenged the report and facts.
An electronic mail sent by Prof Archana Kesar reads "with immense sorrow and utterly dejected tone, I wish to get knots out of the content published about me. First of all, I would have to object on the word, 'accusing'. How can you use the word for me? I would very eagerly wait for the evidences based on the solid foundation, publ...
| | | | Would people have come out in such large numbers to support status quo? | | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 4: The ruling NC-Congress top leadership have been talking of two waves which they do not want to accept. They would not accept there is a Modi wave in the country and they would not accept there is a wave for the PDP in the State.
Well, they would also not accept there is an under current in favour of the BJP in the country not would they agree that there is an under current in favour of the PDP in the State.
One thing that the leaderships of both the Congress and the NC find highly difficult to deny is that there is a strong resentment against the Congress in the country and against the NC-Congress rule in the State.

Rajouri, May 4 : The private schools in district Rajouri have created havoc among the parents of the wards who have put their children in these schools and shelling out astronomical money in wake of fees and allied demands of the schools.
Though a circular in this regard was floated by the CEO Rajouri a couple of months back warning the schools to stick to the guidelines and norms of the education format, yet the private schools running their affairs on their own whims and fancies have thrown all norms and charging whopping rates and providing the negligible infrastructure and facilities to the school children.

| | | | Rajiv-Farooq Accord produced Salahuddins, says Mufti | | Subversion of democracy | | | Neha
JAMMU, May 4: Many people do not approve of the self-rule doctrine as advocated by the PDP. They say it is nothing but a carbon copy of the autonomy concept of the NC. They appear correct. There is no fundamental difference between the two concepts. Both advocate a regime that is outside the constitutional framework of India. But nobody with an objective outlook will disapprove of what PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said on Saturday about the Rajiv Gandhi-Farooq Abdullah power sharing accord. He said, and very rightly, that the 1987 accord was not just a bad omen for the people of the state in general and Kashmir in particular but also asserted that it was this atrocious anti-peop...
