ANANTNAG, Sept 6: A sarpanch affiliated with ruling party National Conference was arrested a few days ago when he allegedly attacked the family members of a contractor in South Kashmir's Veeri Bijbehara area. Sarpanch has been now released on bail.
Reports said that Sarpanch identified as Arshad Abdullah Dar son of Mohamad Abdullah Dar resident of Veeri Bijbehara attacked one Fayaz Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, a contractor by profession during evening hours, who reportedly have identified number of frauds in which sarpanch is directly involved.
