JAMMU, Dec 22: There has been no change in the attitude of Pakistan on cross-border infiltration which is borne by the facts on the ground: At least four militants, who sneaked into the Indian side from Ramgarh sub-sector near here Monday evening, kept BSF troops engaged in an intermittent exchange of fire for more than 15 hours.
However, foiling the infiltration bid -- sixth in the last one week, BSF troops killed one intruder this morning, besides injuring at least two others."The infiltration bid has been successfully foiled. The situation is under control, but the combing operation is on," BSF IG (Jammu Frontier) A K Sarolia said while talking to The Early Times."It was a group of infiltrators who tried to sneak into our territory, but we foiled their attempt," he asserted.
The trouble started Monday after about 7 pm when the Pak Rangers fired on the forward S M Pura and Kandral border outposts. The nearby SH-1 and Nanga outposts also came under the Pak fire later.

Jammu, Dec 22- Prof Bhim Singh Chairman Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party today said the Union Home Minister has reached some secret understanding with the mobile phone service providers, Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone, Aircel, Tata Indicom, Reliance and Idea, to provide pre-paid mobile service to the subscribers whose pre-paid service was banned wef November 1, 2009 in the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The service providers have reached certain understanding with the Union Home Ministry to raise their revenues by illegal, fraudulent and unconstitutional methods, he added.

New Delhi, Dec 22: Concerned over a major infiltration bid through cover of firing, the Centre Tuesday sought a report from the BSF on the situation along the border in Jammu and Kashmir where Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing since last night.
Meanwhile, a contingent of Army has reached the Kandal border post, where the firings have taken place, along the International Border in Samba sector to assist the BSF troops engaged in retaliating the firing from across the border.

New Delhi, Dec 22 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Rajya Sabha questioned the pulling out of troops from Jammu and Kashmir, reports said Tuesday.
The government must take the Parliament into confidence before taking such decisions, BJP said.
Defence minister A K Antony on Friday said two army divisions have been pulled out of Jammu and Kashmir.
