Allegations of mismanagement, haphazard planning ‘PWD takes up works without following codal formalities’; pleases blue eyed 4/22/2008 10:35:28 PM Sajad Tufail Doda | Apr 22 Alleging mismanagement and plundering of crores of rupees in a haphazard manner, a demand is being voiced for a probe into the works taken up in the district without following the formal codal formalities. Majority of the works are reported to have been allotted by the engineers to the kith and kin on commission basis. Gross violation of rules and procedure is alleged to have made by AEEs, JEs & EXNs of R&B department Bhadarwah. The cursory glance of the allegations reveal gross violation of rules, procedure and financial irregularities in execution of various works in Bhadarwah R&B department. About 80% works are being done departmentally through their special agents, i.e. kith and kin and blue eyed boys by ignoring all norms, rules, regulation and procedure and 70% of the works was allotted to one only firm, a contractor alleged. The Department had invited tenders for construction of a road.
