| Where is Devender Singh Rana? | | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 25: Chief Minister's former advisor and National Conference provincial president for Jammu, Devender Singh Rana has most probably gone into hiding after NC worst ever performance in the recently concluded Parliamentary elections.
Devender was Omar's darling for quite some time and is held responsible for misleading the Chief Minister on various occasions.
Senior in the party hold him responsible for most of the wrong decisions taken by Omar which include sidelining of some influential seniors. Insiders said that Rana exercised so much influence on Omar that he ignored calls of seniors like Ali Mohammad Sagar and his Finance Minister. NC Rajya Sabha member, Rattanpuri took a dig at Rana in 2011 on the birth anniversary of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. The broadcaster turned said NC was run by political novices who had suffocated the veterans in the party.
"Today's National Conference is not strong because the 'rats' have taken over after actual heirs of the party have gone into hibernation", he said. Hitting hard at Rana, he said, "No Rana, No Maharan...

SRINAGAR, May 25: It is just very recently when Farooq Abdullah, president National Conference ruled himself out for his role in the future politics citing his old age as the main reason. Not only this, he went on saying that Omar, his son is a young and dynamic leader, capable of running the party.

| | | | 'Ab ki baar Mufti sarkar' echoes in Kashmir | | Mufti gains from Modi | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 25: The BJP slogan which gripped the collective imagination of the country - Ab ki baar Modi sarkar - has found an interesting echo in the valley. Heard in colleges, offices, tea-shops, auto-stands and in shikara parkings along the Dal Lake is a curious refrain said half-jokingly: Ab ki baar Mufti sarkar.
The incidental similarity of PDP patron Mufti Sayeed's name to that of Modi has set off discourse, heard in many quarters now in Srinagar.
Reports indicate that the same refrain is being echoed in remote parts of north and south Kashmir. The more it is being said, the more it is being repeated among people in good humour.

Jammu, May 25: As the National Conference working President, Omar Abdullah has started the process of introspection after the poll debacle but limiting it to Kashmir valley only may prove fatal for him in areas of Jammu region where NC has got better vote share in 2008 Assembly elections.

Now, when Omar Abdullah is saying that he needs to learn as how NC faced the worst ever poll debacle ahead of the Assembly elections, addressing issues of people of these sub-regions of the state are must....
