SRINAGAR, Jun 10: Sifting the debris of dubious operations by Army in Kupwara district, Jammu & Kashmir Police have discovered that Commanding Officer Col D K Pathania's troops had killed two middle-aged civilians in a fake encounter at Sonapindi in Machhil sector and labeled them both as 'infiltrating militants' on August 22, 2009, when the state Legislative Assembly was in session and the opposition PDP had raised a storm over human rights abuse by security forces in Jammu & Kashmir. Much like the lately exposed fake encounter of April 29, 2010, in which three civilians of Rafiabad area were killed, troops of 4-Rajput had got the slain civilians buried at a community graveyard at Kalaroos.

JAMMU, June 10: A bomb hoax delayed the Delhi-Jammu Indigo flight this morning at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the union capital.
The Indigo officials in Jammu said a hoax call was received at the IGIA in New Delhi in the morning, claiming that there was a bomb on the Jammu-bound Indigo flight.
The flight had around 180 passengers onboard.
"The airport authorities received the call at about 11.14 am," they added.
An alert was sounded, the officials said and added immediate measures were taken and the passengers and crew were disembarked.
The plane was searched and the call was found to be a hoax.

SRINAGAR, June 10: The movement of divided families and their relatives across the border from both sides which was seen waning lately for a couple of reasons got some fillip today when as many as 29 guests arrived from Pak Occupied Kashmir through Uri- Muzaffarabad route.

JAMMU, June 10: Over 2,500 acres of land has come under border fencing in the areas fenced by BSF.
"According to information provided by divisional commissioner, Jammu zone, 2,571 acres of land has come under border fencing raised by BSF in five districts of Jammu region," financial commissioner (home) has said in a J&K panel report.
Flood lighting and three-tier border fencing had already been constructed on in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch.
