| Why hasn't NC declared itself a Public Authority? | | CM's Delhi speech was for galleries | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 29: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's recent speech in New Delhi about bringing political parties under the ambit of RTI seems to be a mere hoax as Omar Abdullah has failed to declare his own party (National Conference ) as a Public Authority . It is more than 25 days since the speech was made by Omar Abdullah at the annual conference of Central Information Commission (CIC) in New Delhi but not declaring NC as a Public Authority makes it clear that Omar Abdullah speaks one language in Delhi and another in Srinagar.
"Last year in the month of September J&K Government made amendments in the J&K Right to Information Rules of 2010 which lead to severe critici...
| | | | NC-Cong chasm rules out pre-poll alliance possibility | | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 29: Cong-National Conference relations have been further strained with the former questioning the statement of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that accession of the State with the India was conditional.
Congress minister Sham Lal Sharma, without naming the Chief Minister, had said that those who take oath, for being elected, on constitution shouldn't say such things.
He also said if such leaders still consider Jammu and Kashmir disputed territory then should rather leave their chair and fight for its solution.
The minister had taken the bull by its horns. He had hit spot on at the NC , particularly the Abdullah family, which has been clamoring all along th...
| | | | BJP's baffling silence over Omar Abdullah's statement on accession | | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 29: The BJP stands for complete integration of J&K State with the rest of the country. It is also a strong votary for the abrogation of article 370 of constitution of India that gives a special status to J&K. State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah recently told a delegation of EU ambassadors that the accession of J&K to India was based only on for subjects, foreign affairs, defence, currency and communication. What Omar Abdullah said has also been said in the past by his grandfather and father.
While most probably Omar's grandfather believed for many years after 1947, at least till he remained in jail after 1953, that the accession to India was a necessity for...

| | | | PM Manmohan Singh disappoints the nation | | J&K in UN General Assembly | | |
Neha
JAMMU, Sept 29: Yesterday, the rattled and isolated PM Manmohan Singh addressed the UN General Assembly and spoke on the Indian stand on the problems facing the world and stated that J&K is an integral part of India and that India will never compromise the territorial integrity of India. He also talked about terrorism and raised his fingers against Pakistan directly and indirectly. (AICC vice president and his men revolted against the PM on Friday and expressed no-confidence in him saying his actions were complete non-sense.) The naïve would surely appreciate his address. Indeed, he made some candid and definite statements which deserve appreciation.
But it has to be underlined t...

Jammu, Sept 29: The two allies in the ruling coalition National Conference and Congress continue to play the game of one up man ship , having utter disregard for each other with both least bothered to follow the 'coalition dharma' , not to speak of working in tandem or coordination, which is just impossible in the present order when leaders of both the parties are only in bashing mood and mode.
NC which is in the habit of not taking Congress into confidence in small , big decisions has done it again, pushing to the wall the existence of Congress as main alliance partner with whose support it is ruling the state. It is again NC which has provoked Co...
