Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 10: Jammu Kashmir is in for a fractured mandate with no party in a position to secure the number of seats required for government formation.
There is hardly any doubt in anybody's mind that in all likelihood the voters are going to hand down a fractured mandate to the political parties.
No single national or regional party is expected to get a simple majority on its own in the 87-member state legislative assembly to stake claim on government formation on its own.
While the final numbers are being debated and discussed in political and public circles, there seems to be a consensus across the board that no single political party has been able to generate a ...

Jammu, Dec 10: Installation of foundation stone which should have been ideally mark of respect and honour for the man who laid the first brick of campus has been turned into exercise of sycophancy and appeasement of those who are in power by well-read academicians and scientists for petty interests.
One such stone was laid by founder of National Conference (NC) late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on December 16, 1976 when the construction of University of Jammu had started. This stone has its own story like the well-guarded graveyard in Kashmir valley. This was laid by NC patriarch and founder Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah when the campus was sanctioned for Jammu region and constructi...

It was only me who pressed the button in favour of the candidate of the party and it is very much unlikely that the party will open its account from the valley," said an agent of the party (wishing anonym...

Fate of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who is contesting from Beerwah of Budgam will be decided by Shia vote bank numbering around 20,000 but keeping in view the reasons of Omar's Shift from Ganderbal to Beerwah it won't be easy for him to defeat sitting MLA Muhammad Shafi Wani and Nazir Ahmad of Congress who remained glued with people of Beerwah during last six years when Omar was in Ganderbal.
