Jammu : Arch-rivals National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were seen up in arms against senior leader of Bhartiya Janata Party and Party’s legislator Ashok Khajuria when he used the expresssion 'Islamic Fundamentalism' while partcipating in the discussion on Governor's Address.
While commenting on terrorist and extremist ideoplogies, which he said were the main cause of trouble in Kashmir BJP MLA Ashok Khajuria said anti-nationalist forces are needed to be rooted out of the Jammu and Kashmir to restore peace in the region.

JAMMU, Mar 01: An employee of Gandhi Nagar branch of Kendriya Vidyalaya allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death at his residence at Sucheni in Vijaypur near here today.
Quoting family members, police sources said Ravinder Singh, son of Pritam Singh of Sucheni, went to his room after dinner last night.
However, when he did not get up till late this morning, someone from the family went to his room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan hook, the sources added.

A CID cop was killed and another wounded critically when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding bus at Nagrota near here today.

JAMMU, Mar 1: The Union Government on Monday provided special support worth Rs 8000 crore to J&K for its developmental needs. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee made the announcement to this effect while presenting his budget for 2011-2012. “The Government’s special support to J&K is anchored in Rs 28,000 crore Prime Minister’s Re-construction Plan.
