Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 3: A middle rung officer of Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) has created history by getting a commercial property of Auqaf-e-Islamia Jammu (AIJ) allotted to his wife in total violation of norms. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jammu & Kashmir State Wakf Council (SWC), Javed Iqbal Balwan, who is also functioning as Special Officer of Auqaf in Jammu & Kashmir, has later confirmed the allotment of the shop at Talab Khatikan in favour of his better-half, Chaman Ara, without any fear of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s declaration of 2011 as the “year against corruption”. Early Times Report Srinagar, April 3: Militants have warned people against participation in the forthcoming municipal elections. Posters appearing outside mosques and prominent places across Kashmir urging the people to stay away from the polls have alerted the security agencies. According to police sources, this seems a reaction to massive participation of people in 2008 elections. The security forces, sources said have been put on alert in response to the posters. EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 3: Despite the presence of huge possee of policemen and RPF personnel at the railway station here, a bogie of the Jhelum Express was gutted after it caught fire under mysterious circumstances this evening. The train arrived at the platform at about 10.30 am. It was being taken for washing at about 4.30 pm when fire was noticed in one of its bogies, police sources said. Police sources said the cheat went to Amit Kumar's house at Nikowal in the morning and told his wife that he would polish her gold jewellery at a cheaper rate.
