Sources said there is strong resentment against the two and demand for their ouster is gaining strength by the day. "The defeat is the sole outcome of the policies of the Rana and Wani. These two leaders were heading party's poll programme and were advisors to the Omar and the blame should naturally fall on them," said a NC Cabinet Minister. According to sources, the working of these two leaders would be discussed in the party working committee scheduled to be held tomorrow. Sources said many senior NC leaders have decided to air up their concerns and grievances against these two leaders in the open during the party meeting. NC sources said many leaders who were feeling suffocated to the point of being alienated by the coterie of the CM had now deci...

Early Times Report Jammu, May 19: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's introspective move of seeking suggestions from people as to what went wrong for NC's debacle through his personal mail account continues to draw flak for all right reasons. For Omar it may be really a start-point for making amends in the strategy and overall conduct of the party towards masses, yet it has not gone well nor even received positively by those who can access him through e- mail.Even though it was taken positively, the irony amid criticism remains that there is a little over 2 percent internet users across the state who can actually give feedback or suggestions to Chief Minister. ‘Politics of pre-1953 position has no place in Jammu, Ladakh’
5/20/2014 12:43:50 AM
Neha JAMMU, May 19: The message from Jammu and Ladakh was loud and clear. The message was that people of both the regions are religiously committed to India and that they will not endorse any line that drives the state away from New Delhi and dilutes the age-old Indian stand on Jammu & Kashmir. Jammu and Ladakh, which witnessed the destruction of the ruling coalition consisting of the pro-autonomy NC and votary of the 1975 Indira Gandhi-Sheikh Abdullah divisive and Valley-centric power-sharing accord, the Congress, and the pro-self-rule PDP, rejected outrightly and with contempt the autonomy demand as put forth by the NC and the self-rule formula as advocated by the PDP as a solution to ...
