| NC leaders continue to come up with lame excuses about debacle | | | |
Jehangir Rashid
SRINAGAR, May 23: After the recent debacle in the Lok Sabha elections some of the National Conference leaders are giving an impression that the drubbing was there due to the fact that National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah could not devote much attention to the party affairs over the past few years.
This contention seems to be absurd since Dr. Abdullah himself lost the elections very convincingly to Tariq Hameed Karra of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) by a handsome margin. The traditional strong holds of the party in the Central Kashmir districts of Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal got conquered by PDP. The 2014 Lok Sabha elections sprung up a big surprise as ... | |

SRINAGAR, May 23: The scrapping of the new job policy and lifting of the ban on the shorter messaging service (SMS) clearly shows as to how much haughty and mean the coalition partners are. These moves are seen as the damage control other than providing relief to the people.

Other tricks of the ruling coalition have failed to be prudent for them. The parties in power want to use these gestures as the vote gaining policy ahead of the assembly election scheduled in the later part of the current.
