The national president of BJP Nitin Gadkari met the party MLAs in Union capital on one to one basis first followed by a general meeting this evening and listened to their ‘claims and counter claims’ over the cross voting during the Legislative Council polls on April 13. The matter has now been referred to the 12 member Parlimanetary Board, the highest decision making body of the party which is led by president and has top most leaders on board.
According to sources the national president gave patient hearing to what the legislators had to say about the matter and their individual perspective about the whole issue in so far as the party is concerned. The meeting of the president with the legislators was in fact mean to give this message Gadkari wants to register and gather his own assessment of the matter before arriving at any conclusion, sources added. JAMMU, Apr 18: Two persons, including a police Inspector, were booked for allegedly opening fire after panchayat poll results were declared at Palesara near Arnia here yesterday.
Police sources said Gurnam Singh, an inspector posted in crime record bureau, was booked today for allegedly firing bullet shots from his official weapon at Palesara.
He fired out of excitement after their candidate was declared a winner when the results were declared last evening, the sources added. Police also booked one Jagtar Singh for opening fire in the same

JAMMU, Apr 19: Busting a fake employment racket, police today arrested two persons, including a government school teacher, in Poonch.Both of them allegedly cheated unemployed youth in Poonch by giving them fake assurances for providing them jobs in police and other government departments, police sources said.
They were identified as Mohammad Aslam, son of Iqbal Khan of Guntarian in Haveli, Poonch, and Tarsem Singh, son of Krishan Singh of Upper Barnai.
Aslam was a teacher in government higher secondary school, Islamabad.A cash of Rs 1,81,000, which they had collected from some unemployed youth, was also recovered from them, the sources added.

JAMMU, Apr 19: Lashing at the Jammu and Kashmir government for curtailing the Amarnath yatra period by 15 days, VHP today threatened to commence the pilgrimage from June 15 if the Governor failed to "rectify" the decision.
"We threaten to launch the Yatra and start this year’s annual Amarnath Yatra ourselves from June 15 if the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board headed by its chairman and Governor N N Vohra did not rectify the decision at the earliest," VHP National Spokesperson, Prakash Sharma told reporters here.

Jammu, April 19: Finally the Home Ministry’s amnesty package for militants seems to have evoked good response. A Local news agency quoting official sources today said that 800 applications had been preferred from across the state. However, the agency could not confirm whether the parents of disappeared persons had availed the package or not.
