Jammu, May 3: NC is said to have conveyed its "unhappiness" to Congress after the latter this week held an impressive public rally in its voter bastion, Ganderbal, the home constituency of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
The rally, addressed by PCC president Saifudin Soz and two Congress Ministers three days back, was attended by a sizeable number of people despite the inclement weather.
It, however, did not go well with NC. Upset over the Congress meetings in its "strongholds", the NC was stated to have expressed its unhappiness.
In its displeasure, the NC had a point when a senior party leader said instead of working in NC voter bastions, Congress, which was its coa...

| | Why should Ministers' cell phone bills be paid from public exchequer? | | | Abodh Sharma
Jammu, May 3: Even as Chief Minister Omar Abdullah swears by responsive and accountable governance, his Ministerial colleagues are frustrating the claims made by him in his hyped Awami mulaqats by not responding to frantic calls made to them on their official numbers whose huge bills are paid from public exchequers.
The official numbers of all the Ministers have been put on display on the official website of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the convenience of general public, but most of them do not respond to calls. Repeated calls on the official cell phone number of most of the Ministers fail to evoke any response as Ministers respond only to the calls of their politi...

| | Desparate to play bigger role in State politics, Azad trying to placate his annoyed supporters..! | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 3: Contrary to his repeated statements of supporting Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad's frequent tours in Jammu and Kashmir is a clear indication that he is desperate to play greater role in State politics.
Although Azad has been trying to enlarge his intervention in State politics, his supporters seems to have no faith on him because Azad has failed to protect interests of his loyalists during the last three years.
Ghulam Nabi Azad has realised that without revitalizing sagging moral of his supporters it is not possible for him to create a place for him in the State politics. The Union Minister has been trying to br...

| | 'NC or PDP cannot afford have a 'weak' Congress in J&K' | Azad does some political preaching ….! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 3: Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has parroted almost everything about which he has been making a mention during his political rallies for some time in different parts of the State. What makes his uttering a bit different is that he has twisted his typical style of self praise and projection in a different context, this time trying to project his party Congress as the only 'safe and better' alternative for masses in future , albeit clinging on to the reality that single party rule era is gone and coalition regimes are there to stay in the J&K.
In what could be seen as his political preaching , he has gone a step further in trying to give some...
| | Azad allays fears of NC, assures CM of his unstinted support | Rendering Congress Irrelevant | | Neha
Jammu, May 3: Union Health Minister and former J&K Chief Minister and JKPCC president Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is heading a group of dissidents, including a couple of Ministers and about half a dozen MLAs and MLCs, has, it seems, made up his mind to destroy the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir or render it ineffective and unreal in the State for all practical purposes. How else should one interpret the unstinted support he on Wednesday at Devsar, Kulgam (Kashmir), offered to NC president and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah? This was not for the first time that Azad extended his full support to Omar Abdullah. He has been doing so for quite sometime now much to the chagrin of majority of t...
| | Danger to India from Indian State, track--II operatives | Jammu & Kashmir: Enemy Within | | Rustam
Jammu, May 3: The Indian nation is not afraid of Pakistan and its agents who are masquerading as "freedom fighters" in Kashmir. Indian can tackle them in no time. There should be no doubt. The Indian nation is afraid of the enemy within and the number of enemies within is multiplying with each passing day. And, at a time when the international situation favours India and Pakistan and the separatist movement in Kashmir are in complete disarray. Sadly, the enemies within are very influential. Jammu, May 3: The presence of Public enterprise Minister Peerzada Mohd Sayeed alongside Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad during the public rally in Anantnag on Wednesday has given indication that Peerzada has bolstered position within party and has silenced his detractors in the state congress unit.
