Jammu, July 18: Amidst enthusiasm and anxiety, at least 16,423 students today appeared for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Board of Professional Studies and not quite out of place two of them formed the duo of Munna Bhai and his impersonator Dr Rustam.
It is not a scene out of the famous Bollywood comedy Munna Bhai MBBS but what actually happened at an examination center at the Government Gandhi Memorial Science College. In a meticulously planned operation, the Jammu Police caught hold of a Delhi based youth who was appearing for a Reasi based medical aspirant for a deal of Rs 6 lakhs. It may be recalled here, in the Bollywood movie Munna Bhai MBBS, there was one Dr Rustam, a brilliant medico who impersonated for actor Sanjay Butt in the pre-medical examination for extracted seat for him in a coveted Medical College.

Srinagar/New Delhi: In a major turnaround, the separatist All Party Hurriyat Conference on Saturday said that it is open to talks with New Delhi for the settlement of the vexed Kashmir issue.
However, the separatist organisation said that it will talk only to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Talking to reporters, senior Hurriyat leader Abbas Ansari said, “We will talk only with the PM.”

Mumbai, July 18 Visiting US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Saturday said that Pakistan must dismantle the terrorist infrastructure on its soil, which is aimed at India.

Jammu, July 18 , : A nineteen year (19) old Greek national died in road accident on Jammu-Srinagar National highway late Friday night.
According to police, "a private taxi in which the Greek national was travelling veered off the hilly road near Kot Jagir falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
The Greece national, identified as Ioannis Morkotulus, was on way to Srinagar along with fellow passengers when the taxi bearing registration number JKO1-M 0341 veered off the slippery road. Incessant rains had lashed Jammu region following strong wind/dust storm late Friday night.

Jammu, July 18: Director General Border security force (BSF) ML Kumawat on Saturday said that BSF jawans patrolling in porous Sir creek area along the Indian coastline with Pakistan will soon be given All terrain vehicles (ATV's) and flying boats to prevent entry of Pakistani fishermen and maintain better vigil in the area.
