Jammu, Spet 9: In a fresh twist to the unsavoury developments between the coalition allies and in sharp contradiction to what NC Patron Dr Farooq Abdullah tried to project about his party NC's disinclination to form Kargil Hill Development Council , the NC today staked claim to form the House in front of Deputy Commissioner Kargil contending the support of 16 members. Congress, however, has out rightly rejected this and challenged the claim terming NC is bent to play foul in setting up the Autonomous Hill Council.
Sources said NC unit today went to DC and staked claim to form the House with support of 16 members, a move which has angered the Congress further particularly in the wake of the statement given by Dr Farooq Abdullah on Sunday that NC will opt out of the race of forming the House as Congress had more elected members than his party had bagged in the recently held elections for the Hill Development Council . Tunnel -16 on Jammu-Udhampur track has been damaged three times in the month of August.
