In case he doesn't appear before the panel tomorrow, it goes to advantage of Congress politically which is learnt to be not interested in ex Army chief to present himself in front of the LC panel. Genreal VK Singh has so far not responded in written nor confirmed about his appearance tomorrow.

JAMMU, Jan 21: Government employment in medical education department is seemingly no more an enticing option for MBBS and higher qualified professionals of Jammu and Kashmir. They are leaving not to return.
Several have left the jobs and many more are looking for lucrative options outside the state. Ask for the reason and medicos, who are still serving in Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu but have their eyes set on some opening either in any part of India or outside the country, maintain that physical threats, low salaries coupled with brute violation of rules and regulations have created a fear psychosis among them about their future prospects.

JAMMU, Jan 21: The clueless and pro-independence NC which, along with the Congress, has all along played foul games and divisive politics and denied the people of Jammu province and Ladakh region their legitimate political and economic rights to pander to a section of Kashmiri-speaking population in the Valley, on Monday made a desperate attempt to mislead the public opinion by suggesting that the BJP has taken a complete U-turn on Article 370. The NC described the BJP a "fascist" party and said that it "has been parroting abrogation of the Article 370 for the past six and half decades and has lost its credibility for being parochial, communal and divisive". Perceived to be on VK Singh's side, the BJP has assumed sustained silence as the party has already given some indications of inducting back five of its dismissed members as a "fresh blood" in the party. On the other hand, Gen Singh too has given indications of his joining the BJP in near future.

| | | | Ladakhis up against their own MLAs, demand two more districts | | New administrative units | | | Rustam
JAMMU, Jan 21: Accusing Ghulam Nabi Azad-led coalition Government (Nov 2005-July 2008) of neglecting Ladakh and ignoring its legitimate demands, the Ladakh unit of the BJP on Monday demanded creation of more districts in the region. The accusation was well founded and the demand highly genuine considering the nature of terrain, size of the area and accessibility. Ladakh occupied more than 60 per cent of the state's land area and it remains cut off from rest of the world for months during winter.
That accusation of the Ladakhis that the Congress-led coalition Government ignored their region in 2007 while taking decision on creation of eight more districts in the state could be seen ... | |
