TOP STORY OF THE DAY
State BJP still a divided house
3/19/2012 11:43:11 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 19: The BJP which faced a rebellion last year after seven of its sitting MLAs cross voted in favour of Congress and NC in Legislative Council elections forcing the Party to disqualify these MLAs has not learned any lesson as yet as groupism is still prevailing in the state unit of the Party. Though the Party launched a vociferous campaign for the Jammu Municipal Committee elections in the city for last over a week, the ground realities reveal that Party has failed to keep its house in order as groupism still prevails in the state unit of the party. According to sources the state unit is divided in two groups with one group headed by Party state chief Shamsher Singh Manhas and another led by former president Dr Nirmal Singh are addressing the parallel Jan Samelans and the two parallel groups have failed to share the dais together for a long time. This can prove suicidal for the party which is already plagued with factionalism on grass root level after the disqualification of seven MLAs. The Party only sends official handouts for the functions organi...

Omar dormant, Tarigami very vocal
Kashmir Solution
3/19/2012 11:41:34 PM
Rustam JAMMU, Mar 19: Votary of revocation of AFSPA, greater autonomy and talks with separatists in Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah doesn't speak much these days on these issues. He also doesn't say much these days about India-Pakistan relations. Nor does he use very harsh language against New Delhi. He has, it appears, gone dormant. I am not suggesting that he is a changed man. I am only suggesting that he doesn't talk much these days about autonomy, AFSPA, Army, Kashmir problem and so on. Why? There is no definite answer to this question. It could be a political compulsion or it could be something different. On the contrary, the "Leftist" and "secularist of secularists" CPI-M ML...

A medical expert wishing not to be named said, "The doctors in the absence of any drug policy prescribe the medicines of a particular company to patients but as per the newly framed drug policy they are bound to write the name of the salt instead of drug on prescription which will surely end the nexus betwe...
