FSL report: No medical evidence of rape on Ruqayya

Ahmed Ali Fayyaz SRINAGAR, Aug 16: Allegation of abduction and rape, leveled against unidentified soldiers of Army by a young woman in Kulgam district of South Kashmir, has proved to be false. Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has found no evidence of the woman having been abducted or raped even as a Special Investigation Team (SIT) had earlier failed to find any circumstantial evidence to establish the crime. Addressing a news conference at his office today, DC Kulgam, Farooq Ahmad Khan, revealed that FSL had not found any evidence of the complainant Ruqayya W/o Lateef Bhatti R/o Gujjardar, Manzgam, having been raped. As already reported, Ruqayya had complained to Tehsildar and Police on July 21st that she had been "abducted and raped" by two unidentified soldiers of Army in Chhiranbal area where the family's herds were grazing in Pir Panjal foothills. The two factions led by central Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and state party chief Saif-ud-Din Soz are likely to join hands in the overall interest of the organization. Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 16: It was a decoity well enacted by an employee of a petrol pump at Pargwal in Khour area of Akhnoor when he he last night reported to police that five masked youth had robbed him of cash. To make the scene look like a real one, he also smashed the glass panes of the petrol pump office. Rohit Singh, son of Jagat Singh of Pargwal, worked at the petrol pump of Abu Mahajan, son of Satish Gupta of Trikuta Nagar, at Pargwal. NEW DELHI: A researcher has claimed that Bhagat Singh was illegally executed. The researcher, a Supreme Court Advocate Nafees Ahmad Sidiqqui has pointed out several lacunae in the trial. According to him, the authorities ignored the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). The CrPC says that a murder trial shall be held by a court of sessions. However, in Bhagat Singh's case the trial was conducted by a Special Tribunal, Sidiqqui said. Another serious lapse was the award of death sentence in ex-parte. RAJOURI: Pakistan troops have yet again violated ceasefire as they resorted to heavy firing in Keri Sector of district Rajouri on Tuesday. Sources said that, Pakistan forces after using heavy shelling on Indian forward posts in Keri Sector of district Rajouri this afternoon, wherein a solder identified as Jaswinder Singh was critically injured. JAMMU: In unconnected incidents, two Vaishnodevi pilgrims, including a woman, today died under mysterious circumstances near the holy cave shrine of the goddess in Trikuta Hills of Katra. Police said Seema Bhutani (36), wife of Manoj Bhutani of Faridabad, Haryana, died near the bhavan due to unknown reasons.
