| Azad arriving on Sept 14, to register presence in apolitical functions | | | |

JAMMU, Sept 10: Two weeks after attending party function organized by JKPCC, Union Health Minister and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad is arriving here on September 14 to attend a couple of functions in the winter capital of the state. The visit this time is confined to functions organized by NGOs , essentially non political ones. Azad's visit however assumes importance in view of the coalition partners Congress and National Conference facing fresh political turbulence on account of developments related to constituting Kargil Hill Development Council.
Sources said Azad has confirmed his participation in the functions which have scheduled on September 14. Though Azad has been attending such functions and making his presence frequently in the past , this apolitical visit is being seen after a long time. While his loyalists and supporters in the party are upbeat about his forthcoming visit, sources said the Union Minister may not be able to attend any party meeting or any other function organized at the party level.... | |

JAMMU, Sept 10: The good job done by National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) in Jammu and Kashmir is not being appreciated by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. The transfer of 500 mega watt Dul Hasti Hydro Electric Project II to joint venture is a great loss to NHPC, which has brought up the stage I of the project.
With this act of Omar Abdullah, it seems has opened a new front against NHPC for not allowing it to explore the hydroelectric potential of the state and earn money. Omar wants to get hold of the good job done by the NHPC and earn money without putting any effort.
