JAMMU, June 19: The two day BJP state working committee meeting may well have concluded with adoption of political resolutions, resolutions on corruption and price rise- the decisions taken traditionally in such forums but these have all been 'undermined and understated' by the expelled leader Prof Chaman Lal Gupta contending the issues were not taken up in a serious manner nor would people accept any under the given circumstances the party is faced with. Vikas Raina (23), son of Rajinder Prakash Raina of Kursai, Bhaderwah, was on way from Jammu to Mohali on June 13 last when his motorcycle skidded off the road near Arsoon police post, Ropar, and fell into the roadside canal.

JAMMU, June 19: An under trial died of cancer here in Government Medical College Hospital here today. Police sources informed that one Bhajan Lal son of Amarnath of R S Pura was arrested for allegedly committing murder of a youth some five years ago and a case under section 302 RPC was lodged against him in this connection.
While the deceased was lodged in district jail, he developed pain in his stomach and was rushed to the GMC hospital on May 26 where doctors declared him as a patient of cancer.

JAMMU, June 19: At least ten persons suffered injuries, when a vehicle, they were travelling in, skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in Bhaderwah tehsil of Doda district.
According to police sources a Tata mobile (MH14GB-0494) which was on its way to Sarthal Bani area from Bhaderwah town fell into a deep gorge near Nalthi area.
The mishap took place when driver of the vehicle lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve.
