JAMMU, June 2: After getting votes from the people of Jammu region, the BJP has diverted its attention towards Kashmir valley to explore possibilities of expand its base beyond Jawahar Tunnel. BJP has opened channel of communication with some Valley based leaders without taking Jammu leadership into confidence.
Credible sources in the BJP said that a couple of days back, a senior leader of the RSS "secretly" visited Kashmir valley and interacted with some Muslim leaders there.
Although Jammu leadership was not aware of the secret visit of this RSS leader in the Valley, a prominent party activist went there to facilitate meetings of RSS leader with some prominent Valley based Muslim leaders.
A group within BJP high command and RSS is of the opinion that leadership of Jammu and Kashmir should be handed over to some leaders of Kashmir valley because leadership in Jammu region was incapable and incompetent so this group was all out to lure some Valley based Muslims to give them charge of state BJP.

NEW DELHI, June 2: Jet fuel prices have been cut by 1.8 percent and rates of non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) by Rs 23.50 per cylinder after the rupee's appreciation lowered import costs.
The price of jet fuel, also known as aviation turbine fuel (ATF), at Delhi was cut by Rs 1,285.89 per kilolitre, or 1.81 percent, to Rs 69,747.98 per kl, according to Indian Oil Corp, the nation's largest fuel retailer.
This is the third reduction in jet fuel rates since April. Declining international oil prices and the strengthening of the rupee against the US dollar have made imports cheaper.

SRINAGAR, June 2: Jammu and Kashmir High Court has asked Government to file status report about charge sheet against those doctors who have been named in Public Interest Litigation, seeking action against medicos indulging in malpractices of taking gifts and freebies from medical companies for prescribing their medicine.
