Jammu, Aug 4: In a joint operation with state police four activists of Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) were detained by the Punjab police from Jammu for further questioning today.
According to official sources, "sleuths of the Punjab Police force today swooped down on KZF activists and detained them for questioning from ward no 1 of Simbal camp in Jammu". They have been identified as Harpreet Singh alias Pinta son of Amar Singh, Paramjeet Singh alias Pama son of Ishar Singh, both residents of Simbal Camp and Swarn Singh alias Shabba son of Ajeet Singh of R.S Pura. However, unconfirmed reports said that police has also lifted one Jasmeet Singh alias Jatti, brother of Swarn Singh for questioning from his residence in R.S Pura.
The four detained are believed to be close associates of KZF Chief Ranjit Singh Neeta and were actively involved in establishing base of KZF for launching fresh operations.

Jammu, Aug 4: With the security forces on high alert against insurgency in Valley and also along the Line of Control, it seems the active militants in Kashmir have now been facing shortage of weapons owing to which they have changed their strategies and now are indulging in grabbing weapons from cops in Kashmir, said sources.
Pertinent to mention here that there has been spurt in unusual terror incidents like snatching of arms and ammunition by unidentified persons from the security personnel at nakas in Valley hinterlands.
