JAMMU, Nov 10: Exactly three months back, the traders of Kashmir Valley backed by the separatists refused to heed all persuasions and lead a symbolic march with their goods, farm produce and fruits to Muzaffarabad thus triggering a never ending tension in Kashmir which has resulted in killings of over five dozen persons. 90 days down the line, after getting clueless about the Rs 35 lakh consignments sent across LoC the traders have nearly called off the Muzaffarabad obsession.
Alleging economic blockade due to Amarnath land row agitation in Jammu, the Valley based traders had declared to have business ties with the Pakistan administered Kashmir. Even though the state and central government made all convincing efforts to buy their goods and fruits from the Mandis and asked them to wait for formal opening of the trans-LoC route but they did not honour any request and led a march to Muzaffarabad and since then tension has not been dying in the Valley.

JAMMU, Nov 10: Adding buzz to the activity in Winter Capital city, the civil secretariat reopened here this morning on its biennial move.
The Civil Secretariat and the other offices associated with Darbar Move reopened, in the Winter Capital morning amid enthusiasm. The Civil Secretariat had closed in Srinagar on October 31 while the other Move offices closed on November 1.
Governor, N N Vohra, arrived at the Secretariat at dot 9.30 a.m and was presented Guard of Honour by a smartly-attired contingent of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

JAMMU, Nov 10: Notification has been issued for the largest electoral battles of all phases so far four districts comprising 18 assembly constituencies go to polls in fourth phase on December 7.
As many as 18 Assembly segments in four districts of Baramulla, Budgam, Reasi and Udhampur, for which Notification has been issued today, will go to polls on December 7 during the fourth phase of J&K Assembly Elections 2008. Only the seventh and final phase of polls on December 24 will have more constituencies voting when people will exercise right to choose their representatives from 21 Assembly segments spread across three districts of Jammu, Samba and Srinagar.

JAMMU, Nov 10: Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing today in a petition regarding selection of Accounts Assistants issued bailable warrants to the tune of Rs 10,000 each against then Chairman J&K SSRB Mr. GD Wadhwa and then Secretary JC Bhagat. Court further ordered that the warrants be executed by IGP Jammu, in case warrants are not executed, the IGP Jammu shall remain present before the Court on the next date of hearing.
