JAMMU, Dec 29: All is not well with the NC-Congress coalition. The Congress as a party is, it appears, in a confrontation mode. There appears nothing that is common between the two coalition partners, except the Congress' somewhat favourable attitude the NC's demand for greater autonomy. Even the relations between the Congress as an organization and its ministers in the government are, it seems, not very cordial. However else should one describe the tone and tenor of those who spoke in a rally on Tuesday at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. JAMMU, Dec 29: The hearing of Amandeep murder case was deferred yet again today owing to accused Royal Singh's serious ailment. Singh, who was not present yesterday was produced by the police today. However, he remained unconscious and, therefore, not in a position to understand the proceedings.
Amandeep's mother, who had come to get her statement recorded, watched in utter disbelief as the hearing was deferred. Her statement could not be recorded.
The court after hearing all the parties directed Jail Authorities to provide treatment to the accused and the accused was remanded back to Judicial Custody.

JAMMU, Dec 29: Vigilance has been further stepped up on the Line of Control (LoC) in the state following inputs that militant groups had gathered close to the border on the Pak side to infiltrate into India.

JAMMU, Dec 29: Two days after the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced or involuntary Disappearances came into force, the mystery shrouding the fate of a missing man was solved a few kilometers from saffron town, Pampore in Pulwama district. .
